Are you a good friend? Try this calorie free Good Friend Fries recipe!
Recently I was thinking about a friend I had back when I was a freshman in college. I mean she was a REALLY good friend. When she heard that I needed to move out she offered for me to be her roommate, then she helped me to land a good paying job out of town. Sure, we laughed and had fun together, but often she was like my friend counselor. You know that friend where you can tell them anything, and they’ll sit there for what feels like hours listening and trying to solve your problems. She was THAT really good friend.
I remember a few years later we were living in different states and she randomly sent me money in the mail. For no reason at all, she just wanted to make sure that I was ok. The last thing I remember was she sent me a book of Mother Teresa's poems, and she said that I reminded her of Mother Teresa because of my love for orphans and foster children. Of course, I knew I was nowhere on Mother Teresa’s level but it inspired me, and I hope to make even half the impact Mother Teresa did.
Well that was many years ago, and since then we’ve lost connection, but as I was thinking about my good friend, I thought about how I wasn’t sure if I was as good of a friend towards her as she was towards me.
Unfortunately, I may not ever find out her rating of me on the good friend meter but I know one thing that is for sure, she taught me a lot about how to be a good friend. Today, I try my best to consciously set out to be a good friend towards others. That’s why I created the Good Friend Fries recipe. Inspired by my good old friend Catrina.
Have you ever sat back and thought about what type of friend that you are? Most of the time we think about who is a good friend towards us but how often do we access if we're a good friend towards someone else?
Well, today's a great day to try this delicious recipe. Good Friend Fries. The best part is they’re calorie-free and very healthy for your body. I promise once you try this you'll remember what a good friend truly is.
Directions
First access your relationship with your good friend. Are there any areas that you need to change? Are you there for your friend as much as possible? Sharing gifts with your friend is great but also think about sharing ideas, encouragement, and compliments. Life can be challenging and believe me; they could probably use all the support that they can get. Also, don’t forget about sharing creative ideas and connections. Sometimes friends struggle with how to solve a problem, and you might have the skill to solve that problem or maybe you know someone that can help them. Come on don’t be stingy. Also, don't forget to be honest with them too. The truth can hurt, but it’s all about how and when you say it. Oh and remember don’t expect for your friend to be perfect. Say a prayer for them; we can all use a little prayer. Make that a LOT of prayer!
